ESPN announced the first 12 players for next month’s Under Armour Elite 24 game, and the list is already full of Kentucky recruiting targets.
Andrew and Aaron Harrison, Julius Randle and Andrew Wiggins (if he reclassifies) are arguably UK’s four biggest recruits from the class of 2013, and they’ll all be in Venice Beach in late August. Other UK targets on the initial roster release include Kuran Iverson, Marcus Lee and Wayne Selden. Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon and James Young would be logical additions when the final 12 players are announced, which should come in the next few days.
The Elite 24 game will be played Aug. 25. The slam dunk contest is Aug. 24. Both events will be televised at 7 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
This is the seventh edition of the all-star event. The Harrison twins and Julius Randle played in last year’s game, which also featured UK signee Nerlens Noel. Kyle Wiltjer committed to Kentucky at halftime of the Elite 24 game two years ago.
