Dominic Woodson, a Louisville native and one of the top centers in the class of 2013, cut his list to 10 schools Friday. Kentucky is still under consideration. Louisville is not.
According to Coast 2 Coast Hoops and high school teammate Xavier Rathan Mayes, Woodson’s list includes UK, N.C. State, Baylor, Texas A&M, UConn, Memphis, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Rhode Island and Oklahoma. Woodson played last season for Vermont Academy, but will play his senior year at Huntington Prep in West Virginia. That team also includes UK targets Rathan Mayes and Andrew Wiggins and is expected to be one of the top squads in the country.
In a class short on quality post players, Woodson is among the best. Rivals.com and Scout.com both rank him as the No. 3 center in 2013. Rivals has him 27th overall, while Scout rates him as the No. 38 prospect in the nation.
Louisville was recruiting him as hard as anyone early in his high school career, but Woodson previously said that attention had waned in the past few months.
He does not currently hold a scholarship offer from UK.
