Top 10 recruit James Young headed back to Michigan on Sunday after spending the weekend in Lexington for an unofficial visit to UK.
Apparently, that visit went well.
24/7 Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer tweeted Sunday night that UK has “some serious momentum” and named the Cats “the clear frontrunner” after hosting Young.
Young, a 2013 wing player ranked No. 5 in the class by ESPN, tweeted Saturday that he was hanging out with UK freshman Nerlens Noel and planned to attend the Kentucky-South Carolina football game.
Young is also considering Michigan State, Syracuse, Kansas and Arizona, but he has not set up visits to any of those schools.
There is no timetable for his decision. Rivals.com analyst Eric Bossi wrote in his weekly column Friday that Young would “almost certainly” wait until the spring, but others have speculated that he will make his decision before the early signing period in November.

This very good news but young has been a big UK fan for awhile now but sounds like he had a great time in Lex. this weekend. His test score is a concern but hopefully that can be worked out. I have read that Syracuse and KY are the top 2 but at this point KY seems to be inching ahead, although I think Mich. State has a shot.
