There’s no such thing as an understatement when looking ahead to the significance of Thursday’s college announcement by Andrew and Aaron Harrison.
Longtime recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer tweeted early Tuesday morning that it represents “the most intriguing announcement” in his 10 years in the business.
Meyer, who is the national analyst for 24/7 Sports after several years at Rivals.com, added in later tweets that he thinks the Harrisons are leaning toward UK and whichever school lands them will have a “national championship backcourt immediately in place.”
The twins are scheduled to choose between Kentucky and Maryland at 5 p.m. Thursday on ESPNU. Meyer ranks Aaron Harrison at No. 2 in the class of 2013 and Andrew Harrison at No. 3. The player in front of them, power forward Julius Randle, is also considering UK.
