Class of 2014 guard JaQuan Lyle trimmed his list to 10 schools Tuesday, and Kentucky remains among his possible destinations.
Lyle also is considering Texas, Louisville, Indiana, Georgetown, Illinois, N.C. State, Cincinnati, Ohio State and Tennessee.
The Evansville native was one of several high-profile recruits to visit Big Blue Madness earlier this month. The 6-foot-4 point guard is considered a top-20 overall player by Rivals.com (17th), Scout.com (13th), and ESPN (15th).
Lyle does not yet have a scholarship offer from UK. The class of 2014 is heavy on point guards, including Tyus Jones and Emmanuel Mudiay, who are ranked by Scout.com as the top two overall players in the class.
Bosse High School coach Shane Burkhart told the Herald-Leader last month that his player is just as good.
“I’ve never seen Tyus Jones play, and I’m sure he’s really good. But if there’s another kid in the class of 2014 that can see the floor like JaQuan Lyle, I’d like to see it,” Burkhart said.
“(Lyle’s) basketball IQ is just off the charts, and his court vision is second to none. He sees stuff before it happens.”
