UK commitments Dakari Johnson and Karl Towns, and top UK target Andrew Wiggins will all play in Louisville over the next few weeks.

On Feb. 2, Towns and St. Joseph (N.J.) will take on U of L commitment Quentin Snider and Ballard High at Broadbent Arena. On March 3, Johnson will lead Montverde Academy against Wiggins and Huntington Prep in a battle of nationally ranked teams at Freedom Hall.

A Freedom Hall official confirmed the games Thursday.

The doubleheader has been dubbed The RedStateBlueState Series.

“Basketball fans in the state of Kentucky are the most passionate fans we have experienced,” Huntington Prep Coach Rob Fulford said in a post on the event’s website. “We have played several times in the state so far this season and we’ve had over 30,000 in attendance. I think playing in this game against Montverde in Kentucky is going to be a special event for (everyone).”

Tickets for the event will go on sale Monday and can be purchased through Ticketmaster, the Freedom Hall box office or by calling (800) 745-3000. Ticket prices are expected to be released later today.

You can follow the event on Twitter at @isKyRedOrBlue.

Montverde Academy features Johnson, Florida signee Kasey Hill and five-star junior D’Angelo Russell, a Louisville native who is being recruited by Kentucky and U of L. The Eagles are undefeated this season and ranked the No. 1 team in the country by ESPN.

Huntington Prep is led by Wiggins, the nation’s No. 1-rated high school basketball player. He will choose between UK, Florida State and North Carolina later this spring.

The game between Montverde and Huntington Prep is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 3.

Towns is UK’s only commitment for the class of 2014.

The St. Joseph-Ballard game will tip off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2.
