UK signee Andrew Harrison has been in and out of Travis High’s lineup over the past few weeks as he continues to recover from a nagging hamstring injury.
Harrison will be back on the court Friday night after missing the last three games, Travis Coach Craig Brownson told the Herald-Leader.
“It still wasn’t healthy so we were giving it more time,” Brownson said. “He isn’t 100 percent, but he is close.”
The 6-foot-5 point guard last played Dec. 29, when Travis lost to Westchester (Calif.) in the MaxPreps Holiday Classic. Harrison also missed five games in December. He was clearly hurting — but still played — against nationally ranked Archbishop Mitty and top-10 recruit Aaron Gordon in a Dec. 13 game televised on ESPN.
Fellow UK signee Aaron Harrison has helped pick up the slack while is brother has been limited. Aaron is averaging 27.5 points over the last 13 games. Travis has a 10-3 record in that span.
