UK recruiting target Emmanuel Mudiay and Prime Prep Academy will play Sunday and Monday at the Flyin’ to the Hoop Invitational in Kettering, Ohio, the event’s organizers announced Friday.
One of the teams originally scheduled to play Sunday night could not make the trip due to inclement weather. In their place, Prime Prep will face Springboro (Ohio) on Sunday at 8:15 p.m. Prime Prep will still play Wayne (Ohio) on Monday at 8:15 p.m. in the four-day event’s final game.
Mudiay is considered one of the top two point guards in the class of 2014 and is one of a handful of juniors that already has a scholarship offer from Kentucky. He spoke to the Herald-Leader earlier this month about his interest in the Wildcats.
ESPN rates Prime Prep as the No. 4 team in the country in its latest power rankings. Prime Prep handed Huntington Prep its only loss of the season earlier this month at the Cancer Research Classic in Wheeling, W.Va. The team also includes sophomore forward Elijah Thomas, who is already drawing interest from UK.
