Saturday’s doubleheader in Louisville featuring UK recruits Karl Towns, Jahlil Okafor and Skal Labissiere has been canceled, the event’s organizers announced Wednesday.

Organizers for the Red State Blue State Series posted a short release on their website. All tickets purchased will be refunded immediately, according to the release.

Red State Blue State organizers did not return a request for comment.

The March 3 game in Freedom Hall between national powerhouses Montverde Academy and Huntington Prep is still on, according to the release. Fans who purchased tickets during last weekend’s buy-one-get-one-free promotion will still be given a free ticket to the March 3 game.

Saturday’s doubleheader would have been the first high school game in the state of Kentucky for Towns, who has committed to play for the Wildcats in 2014. His St. Joseph (N.J.) team would have faced Ballard. Okafor (2014) and Labissiere (2015) have been offered scholarships by UK and are both among the top five players in their class.
