The plans have changed, but Andrew Wiggins and Huntington Prep will still be playing a game in Kentucky this weekend.

Huntington Prep Coach Rob Fulford told the Herald-Leader that the Express will face United Leadership Academy (Canada) at 2 p.m. Saturday at Boyd County Middle School. Tickets are $8.

“We wanted to give Kentucky fans one last look (at Wiggins),” Fulford said.

This game replaces Huntington Prep’s recently canceled matchup in Louisville with Montverde Academy.

It will be the sixth time Wiggins and Huntington Prep have played in the state this season. The Express defeated United Leadership Academy 81-52 last week in Canada, the home country of Wiggins and several other players on Huntington’s roster.

Wiggins has narrowed his list of schools to Kentucky, Florida State, North Carolina and Kansas. He will be in Lexington on Wednesday for his official visit to UK.

  1. I dont like the way coach Fulford said” give KY fans 1 last look at Wiggins”. Doesnt sound too promising to me. Although Im just kidding I wonder if that has some meaning behind it, you know like a fortune teller telling you something that they really dont know but comes true anyway.

  2. Wiggins wants to win a championship. I’m not 100% convicted in what I’m about to say, but I think it’s inevitable that Wiggins ends up at UK. Does any one think Wiggins would be cool with being on a mediocre team in the ACC because that’s what he’s relegating himself to at FSU. Word on the street is UK and FSU are the current leaders, so to me UK’s going to land this dude.
