The news of Ryan Harrow’s transfer to Georgia State broke Sunday morning. On Sunday night, another UK basketball player who has been the subject of transfer rumors set the record straight on Twitter.

Kyle Wiltjer said that he will return to Kentucky for his junior season. If you missed the tweets, here they are …

I just want everyone to know I AM NOT TRANSFERRING. The thought never crossed my mind. I love Coach Cal and the staff, UK, and the BBN..

After talking with coach and the staff I understand what I need to do. I want to be a part of another chip..

This summer, I’m going to work hard to come back next season better and stronger to help my team fight for #9!

  1. This alum welcomes you back Kyle. I hope you stay 4 years to enjoy the entire range of the athletic-student experience. It’s only after you have been gone from campus for a number of years do you fully appreciate that it is the best time of your life.

  2. It’s time we consider Kyle as a 4 and done and wave the KY flag for him. He never at anytime spoke of himself as a 1 and done. Work hard Kyle and get that shot of yours so that you can make the quick releases. UK should be in fine shape next year with the returns and the new guys. Experience and talent. WOW!!!!!!!!

  3. I’m really glad you decided to stay Kyle! We need your talent and experience! It’s great to be a Cat fan.

  4. Why would he return? He won’t be playing at all next year. Far better players who can actually play defense and rebound. Wiltjer was streaky on the shooting end. Other teams ran straight at him for easy buckets.
