Sweet Sixteen MVP Dominique Hawkins announced his college decision Wednesday morning, but he’s not the only member of Madison Central’s state championship team whose recruitment picked up after the Sweet Sixteen.

Seniors Ken-Jah Bosley and Quan Taylor are still going through the process of picking a college.

Bosley, who hit the game-winning three-pointer to lift the Indians over Ballard in the state title game, was mostly looking at Georgetown and Cumberlands before helping Madison Central win the championship. He’s received Division I interest since then, and the 6-foot-1 shooting guard is scheduled to visit Wright State and Northern Kentucky in the next couple of weeks.

Wright State coaches attended many of Madison Central’s games during the region and state tournaments last month. Bosley might take the Northern Kentucky visit this weekend, when he’ll be in the region to play in the Kentucky-Ohio All-Star Game.

Indians Coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. said Taylor will likely go the junior college route.

The 6-foot-4 forward was scheduled to visit Brevard Community College in Florida on Wednesday, but that trip has been delayed and will likely happen next week. Feldhaus said the College of Southern Idaho and several other junior colleges have called him in recent weeks to express interest in Taylor.

Feldhaus said neither Taylor nor Bosley have scholarship offers from the new schools recruiting them, but that could change soon.

“Usually, they want to get you on campus before they make that offer,” Feldhaus said. “So I’m hoping that’s what it is for both of them.”
