Kentucky basketball recruit Craig Victor will transfer to national powerhouse Findlay Prep (Nev.) for his senior season.
Victor, one of the most recent players from the class of 2014 to land on UK’s recruiting list, previously attended St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, La.
The 6-foot-8 power forward told the Herald-Leader earlier this month that the schools recruiting him the hardest are Arizona, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma State and Kentucky. He has offers from all of those except UK.
“The only offer I’m waiting on is Kentucky,” he said. “I won’t lie to you, I’m looking forward to that.”
Victor also referred to UK as “America’s team.” John Calipari visited him following his high school season and the UK coaching staff is expected to evaluate him over the rest of the summer for a possible scholarship offer.
Though Victor has never said that any one school leads in his recruitment, some analysts consider Arizona the favorite at this stage. Findlay Prep is located in Henderson, Nev., which is about a six-hour drive from Arizona’s campus.
Scout.com ranks Victor as the No. 14 overall prospect in the class of 2014.
