Five-star shooting guard Rashad Vaughn will play his senior season at Findlay Prep.
Vaughn, who already has a scholarship offer from Kentucky, is considered the No. 7 overall player in the class of 2014 by Rivals.com.
The Robbinsdale, Minn., native announced earlier this spring that he planned to transfer to an out-of-state prep school for the 2013-14 season. Vaughn made the decision to attend Findlay on Tuesday morning and his coach/mentor Pete Kaffey later confirmed the move to the Herald-Leader.
Kentucky and North Carolina have long been mentioned among the favorites in Vaughn’s recruitment, though UNC has already accepted multiple commitments at the wing spot for 2014. Home-state Minnesota has also made the 6-foot-5 guard a priority, and Baylor, UCLA, Kansas and Iowa State are among several others on his list.
At Findlay, Vaughn will join fellow UK target Craig Victor and five-star wing Kelly Oubre to make up what should be one of the best teams in the country.
