Luke Kennard picked up a scholarship offer from Louisville on Monday night, his father told the Herald-Leader.
Kennard, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Franklin, Ohio, received offers Sunday from UK, Duke and Michigan State. His previous offers included Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State.
Scout.com ranks Kennard as the No. 18 overall player in the class of 2015. He played well with the King James Shooting Stars’ 16-and-under team at last week’s Peach Jam. Coaches John Calipari, Rick Pitino, Mike Krzyzewski and Tom Izzo were among those who saw him play over the weekend.
Mark Kennard, the players’ father, told the Herald-Leader on Monday that the family will “definitely” visit Lexington in August or September. He said a return trip for Big Blue Madness is also a possibility.
