Results from first day of Nike Global Challenge

Huntington Prep’s Montaque Gill-Caesar scored 41 points in two games for Canada in the Nike Global Challenge on Thursday.

John Calipari was in Washington, D.C., on Thursday to watch several UK targets play in the first day of the Nike Global Challenge.

The high-scorer for the first session was Louisville native D’Angelo Russell, who has already committed to Ohio State. Russell scored 30 points in USA South’s 103-87 victory over Africa.

UK assistant coach Orlando Antigua was in Milwaukee on Thursday to see Cliff Alexander, Myles Turner, Karl Towns, Stephen Zimmerman and others. Class of 2014 targets Emmanuel Mudiay and Josh Perkins were playing in a Dallas event Thursday.
