Class of 2014 shooting guard Rashad Vaughn trimmed his list to 11 schools Wednesday, and UK made the cut as expected.
The new list also includes Baylor, Iowa State, North Carolina, UConn, Kansas, UNLV, Arizona, Georgetown, UCLA and Minnesota.
Vaughn, a five-star prospect, is considered by many analysts to be the best shooting guard in the senior class. The Robbinsdale, Minn., native will play his final season of high school at Findlay Prep in Nevada.
The 6-foot-5 prospect is ranked as high as No. 7 overall — by Rivals.com — and had offers from dozens of schools.
Vaughn’s 24/7 Sports Crystal Ball page is currently split between three schools. UK leads with 46 percent of the predictions, followed by UNC with 29 percent and home-state Minnesota with 25 percent.
24/7 Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer predicts Vaughn will commit to the Wildcats.
