Highly touted shooting guard James Blackmon Jr. will make an unofficial visit to UK’s campus Thursday, the first of three trips in three days for the four-star prospect.
Blackmon confirmed Wednesday night that he will visit Kentucky on Thursday, Louisville on Friday and Michigan on Saturday. The Class of 2014 prospect took visits to Indiana and Michigan State last week.
Blackmon decommitted from Indiana earlier this month after pledging to the Hoosiers early in his freshman year. The Marion, Ind., player is the son of James Blackmon, who played at Kentucky in the 1980s under coaches Joe B. Hall and Eddie Sutton. UK offered Blackmon Jr. a scholarship soon after his decommitment from Indiana.
ESPN ranks the 6-foot-2 prospect as the No. 25 overall player in the Class of 2014. He has mentioned Big Blue Madness on Oct. 18 as a possible date for an official visit to UK, though those plans have not been finalized.
