Tyler Ulis and his father headed back to Chicago immediately after Monday night’s UK Alumni Game in Rupp Arena.
The Class of 2014 point guard was in town for his third and final official visit after seeing Iowa and Michigan State — his other two finalists — earlier this month.
One of those schools will get his commitment in the near future.
James Ulis, the player’s father, told the Herald-Leader on Tuesday that a decision would be coming soon.
“It could possibly be later this week or early next week,” Ulis said. “Tyler and I had a good conversation last night on the drive home. We’re going to talk again later today or early tomorrow. I know it’s coming. … I think he’s ready for it to be over.”
James Ulis said he and his son had two private meetings with UK Coach John Calipari during their official visit to Kentucky. Ulis also hung out with fellow 2014 recruits Jahlil Okafor and Devin Booker, toured the campus, met with support staff and took in the Alumni Game.
“Had a great time,” Ulis’ father said.
