Kentucky football recruit Braxton Berrios said Wednesday that he will announce his college decision Oct. 12 during a ceremony at his high school in North Carolina.
Berrios — a 5-foot-9 prospect — is considered the No. 39 wide receiver in the Class of 2014 by Rivals.com. UK has been on his list for a while, but Berrios is seemingly unlikely to choose the Cats next month.
He has taken official visits to Miami, Oregon and South Carolina, and he has an official visit scheduled for Tennessee on Oct. 5. Berrios took an unofficial visit to Kentucky in July. He said last month that West Virginia and Ohio State were also still on his list.
The Cats already have commitments from two smaller receivers in the Class of 2014: T.V. Williams (5-8) and Garrett Johnson (5-9). They’re likely to add one more big receiver to join Thaddeus Snodgrass, Blake Bone, Williams and Johnson in the recruiting class.
Rivals.com currently ranks Kentucky’s class at No. 7 in the nation.
Official Announcement Date: October 12th at 12:00PM in Leesville Road’s Auditorium. Everybody is welcome to come!
