UK recruit Kelly Oubre arrived in Lawrence on Thursday afternoon to begin his official visit at Kansas. The Jayhawks were supposed to host several high-profile visitors this weekend for their midnight madness event, but some of those trips were postponed due to a conflict with the USA Basketball mini-camp, which begins Saturday in Colorado.
Oubre decided to attend both events.
The 6-foot-6 small forward is considering several schools, but Kansas and Kentucky have emerged as the two favorites. This week’s trip to KU is Oubre’s first official visit in his recruitment. He has only one other official visit planned: an Oct. 18 trip to Big Blue Madness in Lexington.
Scout.com ranks Oubre as the No. 11 overall prospect in the Class of 2014.
