Ballard senior power forward Kelan Martin committed to Butler on Monday.
Martin had recently named a top three of Butler, Saint Louis and Texas Tech. The 6-foot-6 prospect took his official visit to Butler over the weekend.
Ballard Coach Chris Renner confirmed to the Herald-Leader that Martin has committed to the Bulldogs.
ESPN ranks Martin as the No. 97 overall prospect in the Class of 2014. He helped lead Ballard to the Sweet Sixteen title game last March, and the Bruins will likely be the pre-season favorite to win the state championship in 2014.
Martin is one of two Kentucky high schoolers in ESPN’s Top 100 for 2014. The other is Ballard point guard Quentin Snider, who committed to Illinois last month.
