If Jahlil Okafor and Tyus Jones are indeed a package deal — and it appears they are — that would rule Kentucky out as a destination.

Jones is no longer considering UK after the commitment of fellow point guard Tyler Ulis, and few, if any, are predicting Okafor to Lexington.

The long-held belief is that the pair of 2014 standouts will end up at Duke.

Not so fast, says Joe Davis of the North Carolina-based

Davis tweeted the following Tuesday afternoon …

Will it be another recruiting coup for Bill Self and the Jayhawks staff?

  1. I think the Ulis commitment had zero effect on Jones…ku and dook both have and will have returning experienced PGs. Not sure why Jones even bothered with us to begin with.

  2. I actually asked Matt Jones of KSR this a number of weeks back. What is going on that kids are going to Kansas? Bill Self has ruined every five star that has walked on campus. What are your thoughts Ben?

  3. Bill Self is a great coach, I think Okafor and Jones are going to Kansas.

  4. Rock Chalk Jayhawk… five stars are coming to KU
