Mississippi shooting guard Devin Booker had planned to wait until Friday to sign with the University of Kentucky, but he ended up making it official Wednesday night.
Booker became the fourth prospect from the Class of 2014 to sign with the Wildcats on the first day of the early signing period. He joins Tyler Ulis, Trey Lyles and Karl Towns Jr., in UK’s class so far.
John Calipari was unable to comment publicly on his four recruits until they actually signed with the school, and he was not expected to say anything about any of them until all four had made it official. A UK spokesman told the Herald-Leader on Wednesday night that there are no plans to release any statements about the new signees before Thursday.
Couldn't wait until Friday… Went ahead and signed and sent in my NLI papers… Officially a Wildcat. #BBN
