Karl Towns Jr. — UK’s first commitment of the Class of 2014 — officially signed with the Wildcats on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
Towns committed to Kentucky on Dec. 4, 2012. He had already played for Coach John Calipari and spent time in Lexington as a member of the Dominican Republic national team and returned to that squad under new coach Orlando Antigua last summer.
The 7-footer from New Jersey wore a UK jacket, UK T-shirt and UK hat to the signing ceremony, which you can see below.
