247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer updated his Crystal Ball page Monday and moved five-star shooting guard Rashad Vaughn back into the UK category.
Meyer was predicting Vaughn to Kentucky earlier this year, but he took that pick back and later predicted UNLV when it appeared that Vaughn was no longer considering the Wildcats. The player’s coach/mentor, Pete Kaffey, said last week that UK is still recruiting Vaughn, who was visited recently by assistant coach Orlando Antigua.
Back in late July, Meyer talked to the Herald-Leader about his prediction for Vaughn.
“I think Kentucky gets him,” he said at the time. “I just think it’s too good a fit, style of play-wise. I think he would thrive there, and I think the people around him understand that. … I feel pretty good about that one.”
Iowa State currently leads the predictions on Vaughn’s Crystal Ball page with 42 percent. UNLV is next with 35 percent, followed by UK with 9 percent.
