Australian point guard Dante Exum told ESPN on Thursday that he still plans to take visits to five colleges — including UK — in case he decides to forgo the NBA Draft and enroll in school next year.
The five schools on Exum’s list are UK, Indiana, North Carolina, Michigan and Oregon. The 6-foot-6 prospect graduated from high school last month and will be eligible for the 2014 draft. DraftExpress.com and ESPN’s Chad Ford both project Exum as the No. 5 overall pick in next year’s draft if he chooses to go pro.
Despite Thursday’s news, Exum is widely expected to choose the draft over one season of college basketball.
UK has commitments from two four-star, backcourt players for 2014 — Chicago point guard Tyler Ulis and Mississippi shooting guard Devin Booker.
