Findlay Prep star Rashad Vaughn trimmed his list to five schools Friday, and Kentucky is one of the programs still in the mix.
Vaughn — a 6-foot-5 shooting guard in the Class of 2014 — is considering UK, Kansas, UNLV, Iowa State and North Carolina. He eliminated Minnesota, Baylor and Arizona from contention.
UK is looking to add one or two more perimeter players to its recruiting class and has already offered Vaughn a scholarship. Scout.com ranks him as the No. 13 overall prospect in the senior class. He is the No. 2-ranked uncommitted recruit behind Texas center Myles Turner.
Vaughn is in his first season at Findlay Prep after moving to Nevada from Robbinsdale, Minn. There is no timetable for his college decision.
