The Milwaukee Bucks (6-24) currently have the worst record in the NBA, which would give them the best chance at the No. 1 pick in next year’s loaded draft.
Who would the Bucks take if they got the top selection? In his weekly chat Monday, ESPN analyst Chad Ford said it could be UK’s Julius Randle.
“I actually think they might be leaning, right now, toward Julius Randle,” Ford wrote. “Given the personnel they have on the floor, having a guy that can be a double-double machine and draw a double team in the paint might be their biggest need. But (Jabari) Parker, (Andrew) Wiggins and (Joel) Embiid will all get long looks too.”
Ford currently ranks Randle at No. 3 in his Top 100, behind Wiggins and Parker.
The ESPN analyst also talked about the lottery chances of James Young and Willie Cauley-Stein in Monday’s chat, which you can read here.
