UPDATE: Holmes Coach Jason Booher tweeted Saturday that the re-scheduled game between Holmes and Trinity has been cancelled.
The Joe B. Hall Prep Classic scheduled for Saturday at Montgomery County has been postponed due to weather, according to the Herald-Leader’s Mike Fields.
A new date for the event will be announced next week.
This year’s Prep Classic includes five games, featuring nine of the top 25 teams in the state and seven of the top 15 players in Kentucky.
One of the event’s best matchups was going to be No. 8 Holmes and No. 2 Trnity.
Holmes Coach Jason Booher tweeted Friday that the game will still be played Saturday at 4 p.m. at Holmes High School.
Trinity’s roster includes junior forward Ray Spalding, who was watched Thursday night be UK assistant coach Orlando Antigua. UK has also shown some interest in Holmes junior point guard James “Beetle” Bolden.
