According to the Rivals.com database, UK tight ends coach Vince Marrow has been the primary recruiter on 14 of the program’s commitments since he arrived in Lexington a little more than one year ago.
Marrow is given credit for all 14 of UK’s commitments from Ohio in that span. Six of those players have been considered four-star recruits by Rivals.com. UK has a total of 13 four-star recruits (per Rivals) under the new coaching staff.
UK finalized a new contract with Marrow earlier this month.
Here’s a closer look at the committed players who have been recruited by Marrow:
4 stars: Dorian Barker, Mike Edwards, Mikel Horton, Nick Richardson and Darius West (2014); Marcus McWilson (2013).
3 stars: Tymere Dubose, Dorian Hendrix, Josh Krok, Jarrett LaRubbio, Darryl Long and Thaddeus Snodgrass (2014); Jaleel Hytchye and Kyle Meadows (2013).
Marrow was also instrumental in helping UK secure the transfers of Nebraska running back Braylon Heard and Pittsburgh’s Chris and Demitrious Davis. All three of those players will be eligible to play for the Cats in 2014.
UK is also in the mix for several top recruits from Ohio in the Class of 2015.
