The No. 1 linebacker in the country released a list of his top 15 schools Friday, and Kentucky made the cut.
Cincinnati prospect Justin Hilliard is a big recruiting priority for the Wildcats, but they’ll be going up against the top programs in the nation for his commitment. The other schools on Hilliard’s list are Michigan, Alabama, Iowa, Ohio State, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Southern Cal, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Arkansas and Florida State.
Rivals.com ranks Hilliard as the No. 1 inside linebacker in the Class of 2015. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 1 outside linebacker in the class.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound prospect plays for perennial powerhouse Cincinnati St. Xavier. He is the No. 2 junior in Ohio, according to Rivals, and his primary recruiter at UK is John Schlarman.
Hilliard’s brother, C.J. Hilliard, signed with Iowa as a member of the Class of 2014 earlier this month.
