Four top football prospects from Ohio are among several recruits expected for unofficial visits to UK this weekend.
Tight end C.J. Conrad, linebacker Nick Conner and offensive linemen Simon Stepaniak and Josh Myers are all expected to visit Lexington starting Saturday.
Rivals.com ranks Conrad as the No. 6 tight end in the country for the Class of 2015. He’s also ranked as the No. 174 overall prospect in the class and the No. 8 player from Ohio. Conrad has publicly said that UK and Indiana are his two favorites. He has already visited Bloomington twice, and this will be his first trip to Lexington.
Conner is ranked by Rivals as the No. 8 inside linebacker and No. 241 overall prospect in the Class of 2015. He has nearly a dozen scholarship offers and considerable interest from Ohio State. UK is thought to be among the favorites for the Dublin, Ohio, native.
Stepniak — a 6-foot-4, 285-pound offensive guard from Hamilton, Ohio — received a scholarship offer from Kentucky on Friday and is also expected in town this weekend. The three-star prospect also has reported offers from Penn State, Miami, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati, among others. Rivals ranks him as the No. 35 prospect from Ohio for 2015.
Myers is already well familiar with UK. The 6-foot-5 prospect from the Class of 2017 is the brother of current UK offensive lineman Zach Myers and the son of former UK offensive lineman Brad Myers. The youngest Myers is considered one of the best lineman in the 2017 class and already has several scholarship offers, including a recent one from Michigan. UK extended an offer earlier this month.
