One of UK’s football commitments for the Class of 2015 picked up a scholarship offer from Alabama on Tuesday.
Georgia cornerback Montrell Custis tweeted that he talked by telephone with Crimson Tide Coach Nick Saban, who extended the scholarship offer. Custis is one of two early commitments to Kentucky, along with Florida defensive back Marcus Walker. The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect had reported offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State and West Virginia when he committed to the Wildcats in November, becoming the first player from the Class of 2015 to pledge to UK.
247Sports ranks Custis as a four-star prospect and the No. 27 cornerback in the class.
Recruits from the Class of 2015 are not allowed to sign with a school until February of next year.
