Lafayette senior forward Jackson Davis added a scholarship offer from Boston College on Wednesday, two days before he leads the Generals into the 11th Region tournament.
Boston College Coach Steve Donahue and Georgia Tech Coach Brian Gregory were both in Lexington to visit with Davis, one of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the Class of 2014. Georgia Tech offered him a scholarship last week.
Davis has also received offers from Oklahoma State, Alabama, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Butler, Florida State and Central Florida since re-opening his recruitment a couple of weeks ago. He committed to Rice University last fall, and he is still considering the Owls.
Several schools are expected to watch Davis and Lafayette play against Henry Clay on Friday night in the first round of the 11th Region tournament in Frankfort. Those schools include Alabama, Mississippi State, Boston College, Florida State, Notre Dame, Minnesota, Rice and Georgia. If Lafayette wins, Baylor is planning to evaluate Davis on Saturday.
Florida, Indiana and Virginia Tech are among the other schools that have reached out to Davis and his family this week. He has not been contacted by Kentucky or Louisville.
