A few notes from the UK football recruiting front Thursday …
Defensive end Levon Livingston announced Thursday that he has finalized plans to make an official visit to Lexington next month. UK was the first major school to offer the Washington, D.C., prospect, and he’s emerged as a top priority for the Wildcats coaching staff. 247Sports ranks Livingston as a four-star prospect. West Virginia and N.C. State have also offered.
Ohio linebacker Jordan Jones has been racking up the scholarship offers lately. Cincinnati offered Jones on Thursday, one day after he received an offer from Oklahoma. UK was also the first major school to offer Jones, who attends Coach Mark Stoops’ alma mater, Cardinal Mooney in Youngstown. Nebraska and Michigan State have also offered recently.
Four-star linebacker Richard McBryde picked up a scholarship offer from Florida on Thursday. The Troy, Ala., native recently said UK and Auburn were his top two schools, but he’s also added offers from Alabama, Louisiana State and other top programs since that statement.
Livingston, Jones and McBryde are all prospects from the class of 2015.
