If UK basketball recruit Montaque Gill-Caesar chooses to reclassify and head to college later this year, the decision won’t come anytime soon.

Huntington Prep Coach Rub Fulford told the Herald-Leader on Friday that Gill-Caesar intends to play the entire AAU season with CIA Bounce, the Nike EYBL squad from his home country of Canada. The EYBL finals will be played July 16-20 and the Nike league is only open to high school underclassmen. So Gill-Caesar would not be able to decide on reclassification until after he finishes his summer schedule.

Gill-Caesar — a 6-foot-6 forward — will have enough high school credits to graduate this year and play for a college team in the 2014-15 season. He will have a scholarship offer from Kentucky if he reclassifies, though several other schools are also involved in his recruitment.

His other offers include Michigan State, Kansas, Memphis, Missouri, Illinois, West Virginia and Ohio State, among others. ranks Gill-Caesar as a five-star prospect and he would likely be ranked somewhere in the 25-30 range if he joins the class of 2014.

UK Coach John Calipari has watched Gill-Caesar multiple times this season and saw him play as recently as last month. Gill-Caesar used an official visit to see the Cats play in Rupp Arena early in the season.

Lyle ready to announce

Huntington Prep guard JaQuan Lyle is tentatively planning to announce his college decision Tuesday or Wednesday, according to Coach Rob Fulford. Oregon, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Memphis are considered to be the schools at the top of Lyle’s list.

The five-star prospect committed to Louisville last summer before backing out of that pledge in the fall. Kentucky has not been involved in his recruitment in more than a year.
