UK football recruit Alex Stump didn’t have a star ranking from Rivals.com when he showed up at one of their high-profile camps a couple of weeks ago and stole the spotlight.
Stump was named the best offensive player at that camp, and he committed to Kentucky a few days later.
On Monday, Rivals gave the 6-foot-3 wide receiver a three-star ranking. Stump is considered a “5.7” player on the Rivals scale — the highest number for a three-star player.
Stump had 57 receptions for 987 yards and 14 touchdowns during his junior season for St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. He is the first wide receiver to commit to UK for 2015.
