Defensive end Quandeski Whitlow announced his top four schools Sunday and said that he plans to commit to one of those programs sometime this month.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound prospect from Opelika, Ala., is a three-star recruit in the class of 2015 and listed South Carolina, Kentucky, Miami and Mississippi State as his top four schools.
His cousin is Jalen Whitlow, but he has said that the former UK quarterback’s departure from the school will have no effect on his own recruitment.
Quandeski Whitlow picked up a scholarship offer from South Carolina during his visit this weekend. He also took an unofficial visit to Kentucky earlier in the week.
Rivals.com ranks Whitlow as the No. 20 weakside defensive end in the class. UK has nine commitments for 2015, but only two of those are defensive players: Linebackers Eli Brown and Jordan Jones.
