NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Five-star power forward Ivan Rabb told the Herald-Leader on Friday that he will “most likely” be in Lexington for Big Blue Madness in October.

Rabb — the No. 1 player in the class of 2015, according to ESPN — is from Oakland, Calif., and plays for the Oakland Soldiers program in the Nike EYBL.

He said that Soldiers teammate Stephen Zimmerman and UK commitment Charles Matthews are both trying to get him to visit Lexington for Madness on Oct. 17. Matthews and Zimmerman will both be there, and it will be the latter’s first trip to Lexington.

Rabb also has never visited UK, but he has had a scholarship offer from the Wildcats for several months and stays in regular contact with UK Coach John Calipari and assistant Kenny Payne.

The 6-foot-10 forward said he hasn’t set in stone the Madness visit, but the pressure is on from his friends who will be there.

“Like I said, most likely I’ll be there,” Rabb said. “There’s just nothing set yet.”

Rabb has scholarship offers from just about every major program in the country and has not narrowed his list of schools. He said he might do that sometime next month.
