Rivals.com national analyst Mike Farrell delivered another indication Sunday of UK football coach Mark Stoops’ rising profile in the world of recruiting.

Farrell named Stoops the nation’s No. 7 head coaching recruiter as part of his daily countdown of the top 10 recruiters in the country.

The UK boss is in good company, coming in ahead of Clemson’s Dabo Swinney, Auburn’s Gus Malzahn and Miami’s Al Golden.

Stoops has picked up commitments from 17 four-star players (in the Rivals rankings) since taking over at Kentucky less than two years ago. He had a school-record 10 four-star commitments in the class of 2014.

UK currently has 14 commitments in the class of 2015, which Rivals ranks as the 19th-best in the country.
