Georgia small forward Jaylen Brown is expected to host UK Coach John Calipari on Tuesday, the first day of the next open recruiting period that allows college coaches to meet with prospects off campus.
Brown’s mother told ZagsBlog on Wednesday that the 6-foot-7 prospect is also planning to host coaches from Kansas, UCLA and Georgia next week. Georgia Tech is also among the schools recruiting him.
Scout.com ranks Brown as the No. 1 overall prospect in the class of 2015, and he’s rated No. 2 in the class by Rivals.com and 247Sports. He is planning an official visit to UK for Big Blue Madness on Oct. 17.
UK assistant coach Kenny Payne traveled to Georgia in April to visit with Brown, and the Wildcats extended a scholarship offer a few days later.
Brown and his mother have both said in recent weeks that the top recruit is likely to wait until after his senior season before he makes a college decision.
