UK basketball coach John Calipari was in the Washington, D.C., area Wednesday to meet with some possible future Wildcats and at least one former one.

Calipari stopped at Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Va., to visit with V.J. King, a five-star prospect in the class of 2016. King is in his first season at Paul VI after transferring from a school in Akron. Scout.com ranks him as the No. 12 overall prospect in the junior class.

Later in the day, Calipari tweeted a picture of himself with former UK star Kevin Grevey, who owns a popular restaurant in Falls Church, Va. Grevey played eight seasons with the Washington Bullets.

DeMatha Catholic (Md.) sophomore D.J. Harvey tweeted Wednesday night that someone from Kentucky’s staff was supposed to visit his D.C., area school Wednesday. Scout.com considers Harvey the No. 9 prospect in the class of 2017.
