UK basketball signee Skal Labissiere will play in the Nike Hoop Summit in April, according to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels.
The annual game in Portland, Ore., pits a team of American-born high school players against the World Select Team, consisting of some of the best amateur international prospects.
Labissiere — a native of Haiti — will play for the World Select Team, which is also expected to include UK recruiting target Cheick Diallo. That roster will be made official next month. The game will be played April 11.
UK signee Isaiah Briscoe has already been named to the U.S. team, which also includes UK targets Jaylen Brown, Malik Newman, Ivan Rabb, Caleb Swanigan and Stephen Zimmerman.
The April 11 date is the same as the annual Derby Festival Classic, which is played in Louisville. That means Briscoe and Labissiere will not be participating in that event, though fellow UK signee Charles Matthews is a possibility for the game.
