There was no surprise at the top of the expanded class of 2017 basketball rankings released Thursday by Rivals.com.

California post player DeAndre Ayton remains the No. 1 overall prospect in the sophomore class, according to Rivals. Earlier this month, Scout.com named Ayton the No. 1 overall prospect in all of high school basketball, regardless of class.

Ayton was followed on Rivals.com’s list by Missouri forward Michael Porter, Las Vegas guard Troy Brown, Houston forward Jarred Vanderbilt and Miami center Zach Brown. UK is expected to recruit all five of those players.

No players from Kentucky made the updated rankings.

So far, only two of Rivals.com’s top 75 sophomores have committed to a school: No. 6 Jalek Felton (North Carolina) and No. 40 Markus Howard (Arizona State).
