UK recruiting target Thon Maker is expected to be in Bloomington on Saturday to visit Indiana for the Hoosiers’ regular-season finale against Michigan State.
Maker announced last month that he intends to join the class of 2015, which would allow him to play college basketball next season. Kentucky, Kansas and Indiana are among the major players in his recruitment. There’s also the possibility that he plays professional ball outside of the United States for one season before declaring for the 2016 NBA Draft.
UK hosted Maker for a home game earlier this season.
247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer spoke to the Herald-Leader earlier this week about recruits who were most likely to commit to UK for 2015, and he mentioned Maker as one of three players in that category.
There is no timetable for a college decision from Maker, who is considered one of the top 10 players in the class of 2015.
Indiana will also host UK target Thomas Bryant on Saturday. Bryant’s list might be down to UK, IU and Missouri after the recent NCAA penalties handed down to Syracuse, which was widely assumed to be the leader in his recruitment.
