Class of 2015 basketball standout Caleb Swanigan made the first cut to his recruiting list Thursday, and Kentucky is still an option.
Swanigan — a 6-foot-9 post player from Fort Wayne, Ind. — is considering UK, Arizona, California, Chicago State, Duke, Michigan State and Purdue.
He has taken official visits to far to Duke and Cal. Swanigan has been to Lexington multiple times for unofficial visits. Chicago State was the first school to offer him a scholarship, and Coach Tracy Dildy is close to Swanigan and his family.
Scout.com ranks Swanigan as the No. 11 overall prospect in the class of 2015. He reclassified from 2016 last year, and his recruitment is not expected to end anytime soon.
247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer predicts that Swanigan will ultimately sign with Kentucky.
