Class of 2016 post player Sacha Killeya-Jones received a scholarship offer from Kentucky during his visit to Lexington on Friday.
Killeya-Jones — a 6-foot-10 prospect from Chapel Hill, N.C. — is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 30 overall player in the rising senior class. He backed off of his five-month commitment to Virginia last week.
Though he’s from Chapel Hill, the four-star recruit plays for a high school in Virginia. Hometown North Carolina is also expected to play a major part in his recruitment.
UK has now offered several post players in the class of 2016, with Killeya-Jones joining Jarrett Allen, Udoka Azubuike, Marques Bolden, M.J. Cage and Harry Giles.
The Cats’ frontcourt next season is expected to include Skal Labissiere, Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress, and all three of those players are projected to be picked in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Tai Wynyard — a 6-10 prospect from New Zealand — is currently UK’s only commitment for the class of 2016.
