UK assistant coach Kenny Payne was in Indiana on Wednesday to see class of 2018 recruit Romeo Langford, according to Scout.com’s Evan Daniels.
Langford — a 6-foot-4 guard from New Albany — has reported scholarship offers from Louisville, Indiana, UCLA and several other programs. UK has offered only two prospects from the class of 2018: Marvin Bagley and Jaedon LeDee.
The visit from Payne is a sign that Kentucky could be very interested in Langford, who Scout.com ranks as the No. 24 overall prospect in the sophomore class. The UK coaches have not had much contact with recruits from that group as they continue to evaluate players in the 2017 class for possible scholarship offers.
U of L Coach Rick Pitino watched Langford on Saturday.
