Rivals.com released its Top 100 football player rankings for the class of 2019 for the first time Monday, and the list includes a Kentucky high school standout and a handful of prospects from UK’s recruiting backyard of Ohio.
Trinity defensive end Stephen Herron is the lone Kentuckian on the list, coming in at No. 40 overall. Herron committed to Michigan a couple of weeks ago.
Rivals.com’s list includes four high school players from Ohio, the state that UK has recruited so well under Coach Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow in recent years. The 2019 prospects from Ohio in the Rivals 100 are Lewis Center defensive end Zach Harrison (No. 9 overall), Cincinnati defensive tackle Jowon Briggs (No. 68), Akron offensive lineman Nolan Rumler (No. 93) and Lexington defensive end Cade Stover (No. 96). UK has offered each of those players, though Rumler has already committed to Michigan.
California quarterback J.T. Daniels is the No. 1 overall player in the 2019 rankings. He committed to Southern Cal last week.
